Real Rhythm Guitar: Level 1 is a whole new way to learn guitar! This physical/digital course will teach you to master modern rhythm guitar skills and popular techniques, while learning the foundations of rhythm theory. Includes 4 months worth of detailed, guided video lessons along with explanatory text, diagrams, charts, and musical examples.
Timing and rhythm is one of the most overlooked skills for guitar students (and teachers!), yet is the most important one needed for any performing professional. With this course, you will build your skills from the ground up and develop the skills needed to play professional guitar in the studio or during live performances. Over the length of this course, you’ll learn the following:
- 🎵 How to develop an internal sense of rhythm and timing, and train your foot to tap like a metronome
- 🎵 Dozens of popular strumming and rhythm patterns from our favorite songs
- 🎵 Why and how to vocalize rhythm patterns, using a variety of Western traditions
- 🎵 The ability to “sight-read” rhythms and convert what you’re playing into written symbols
- 🎵 Guitar-focused techniques to make standard chord loops more interesting
- 🎵 How to combine dynamics, rests, and palm mutes, and accents into engaging and interesting strumming patterns
This course contains 22 lessons meant to be watched roughly one-per-week. Each lesson contains a video that explains, demonstrates, and performs the concepts and exercises in each lesson. Along with each video lesson, explanatory text and diagrams are for both online viewing and within the physical workbook.
